A friend of mine came over for a few drams, and brought a bottle of this 15 year old Fiddich. He had no information when it was bottled, just that he was able to find this at one of his friend’s , a guy who was not really into whisky. How he came about to own this one is a mystery. As opposed to the current 15 year old (Solera) this is not a sherry Solera cask, and is bottled at 51% which is nice. This might be a distillery only bottling or some sort, and it’s presented in the older more triangular bottle. It was interesting to try that one, and to be honest, it’s really nice. I took the prices and info from Whisky base. (so is the image).
Glenfiddich 15 yo Cask strength , € 207.00 | £ 176.62 | $ 276.14
Nose: Biscuits and dough. Pear pie , nuts and cooked apples. A hint of vinegar and Grape peel.
Palate: Warm and malty notes: peppery at first with a lot of flavors. Spices. Malt , sugar and dough. Hints of apple peel.

This one is Full of flavors, with a lovely mouth feel to it, at 51%. recommended if you can find older bottles of this somewhere. I was told some of those are still in shops in NL.
