Another lovely bottling from this series, with ingenious are work. If you look closer you might recognize a couple of the most colourful whisky Dou namely, Neil and Joel from Caskstrength.Net . A lovely couple , I’ve met on a couple of occasions on which we had a jolly good time, so guys, well done on making this label. fab.
Now for the whisky itself which is not shabby as well. a springer, can you go wrong with one? Probably not, and this one is delicious as well.
Springbank Batch 1 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) , 50cl, 54.60%, £61
Nose: Starting off with gentle peat & Brine. Add a handful of Sea spray, some spent matches (gunpowder if you will), wee sherry and malt.
Palate: A sweet start with some sherry. Then getting briny and peaty but quite toned down . Salt. Pepper. The sherry influence is quite strong and that’s lovely with a touch of over ripe blood oranges.
Finish : Bitter with smoke brine and salt.
Excellent stuff all in all.
Score: 89/100
