Another Single cask bottling from the DT “Dimensions” series of cask strength bottlings by DT, this one comes from a 1991 cask (Ex-Bourbon I think according to color and profile) , and bottled at 54,8% ABV. This is also my first Glen Moray tasting note. So, it’s double as fun. Let’s roll :
Duncan Taylor dimensions glen moray 1991, 54,8% cask 9408
Nose: Malt ,bitter almonds , marzipan vanilla wood and coconut flakes. quite the fragrant nose which does not let you down.
Palate: Sweet malt, some fruit, pepper, with a spicy edge. Also some fudge and sweet dough.
Finish : Dough and a spicy tang. Medium length.
All in all this is a fine dram, if you like the profile. Not as impressive as the last two ‘dimensions’ expressions I have tried recently.
Score: 83/100
