Tasting The Master of Malt Dalmore 1996 14-year-old Single Cask

Another of MoM’s new single cask bottling at a good price, this time from the Dalmore distillery. A refill Hoggy took care of this dram for 14 years until bottled at CS. IB Dalmores are not bottled very frequently so this is should be interesting.

Tasting Master of Malt’s ‘Brown Drink’.

A quick question: What do you get when you vat together 542 different kinds of spirits, mix them well, and then bottle them up? You got it right, “the brown drink”. This is exactly what the chaps over at Master of Malt did. As you know they are offering 100’s of dram sized samples and they make about 23 samples …

My ‘Carambola Pantheon’ Cocktail –Featured on the Master of Malt blog

Tasting the Master of Malt 50 year old Speyside

I’ve had some older malts in the last few months, but this 50 year old is by far the oldest I’ve ever had. After liking the 30,40 year old Speysiders from MoM, this was indeed the next step. This lovely dram was distilled and put into a cask some 14 years before I took my first breath. Quite romantic to …

Quick Dram : Master of Malt Caol Ila 30 yo single cask

Master of malt recently bottled two interesting single casks, this 30 year old CI, and another lovely Highland park 13 year old. I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek (by means of a little sample) . I am a fan of Caol Ila and think their malt is often underrated. How would a 30 year old single cask …
