statisticsI know i already posted my top 5 and top 10 drams for last year (yes ,2012), but I thought I’d share a few more details about the blog , and some stats for 2012. First of all let me thank each and everyone of you, readers, whether you stumbled upon the site by mistake, or you have been following us for some time. It would not have been possible without you. This year saw a Spectacular growth in number of readers, and also diversification of our reader base, from countries you would not even imagine (more info later). Also, i am very happy that we continued the process of diversifying our reader base, and reducing the percentage of Israeli based readers (although they increase in raw numbers) transforming Whisky Israel into an International blog (although we are still keeping the Israel in our name, after all it’s where it all began), and the numbers do tell all.So here are a few facts and anecdotes about how, where and what happened on the blog in 2012:

Page Views

  • Have grown grown by 118%!! (199,497)

  • US traffic -  makes about 25% of all site traffic (same as last year)
  • UK traffic – 25% of site traffic (growth of 86%!!!)
  • Israel – accounts for 20% of site traffic (5% less)
  • ROW – 30% (with a very strong German,French, and NL presence)
