Lion’s pride is a very interesting whisky coming from Chicago,IL. The distillery which makes
it is Koval distillery which also makes other distillates.
What’s interesting about Lion’s pride is that it’s a single barrel,unfiltered and handcrafted, which means it’s distilled in small quantities. In addition the whisky is Organic, and Kosher (if you keep kosher).

I recently reviewed the AnCnoc 12, and quite liked it, very affordable, and good summery malt. Delicate,and refreshing. Now, it is time for a go at its bigger brother, the 16 year old. Let’s try that one now, shall we?

The Jura boutique barrels is comprised of three different expressions, aged in different sets of barrels specifically selected by the Jura distiller Willie Cochrane. Each has been assigned a code in two letters used in the Jura warehouse to distinguish different barrels.

The Yoichi distillery (余市) is located at Japan’s northern island : Hokkaido. It was founded in 1934 by Japans’ father of whisky Masataka Taketsuru . Nikka started producing whisky in 1936, releasing it’s first whisky in 1940. The Yoichi style differs from the Suntory style and is peatier, and more robust.
